About Me
I have been practicing psychiatry since 1998, with additional training in addiction psychiatry completed in 1999. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege to work in a wide range of clinical settings and to provide care for people from many diverse backgrounds and life circumstances. I have practiced in large academic medical centers, community-based hospitals, outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, and in overseas combat settings while deployed as an Army Reserve psychiatrist.
Currently, in addition to my administrative responsibilities, my clinical focus is on consultation-liaison psychiatry in the inpatient hospital setting.
Psychiatry is a uniquely rewarding specialty that integrates scientific rigor with human connection, medical expertise with interpersonal understanding. It offers the opportunity to address complex mental health conditions and needs in ways that can profoundly benefit not only the patients themselves, but also their families and their communities.
It is a privilege to serve as a teacher and mentor. I am committed to supporting your development as a psychiatrist who not only demonstrates clinical excellence but also finds a deep sense of meaning and fulfillment in the practice of this specialty.
