What motivates me each day is the opportunity to help people understand their diagnosis, feel confident in their care and make treatment choices that reflect what matters most to them. I know that a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and I believe patients deserve clear information and a trusted partner throughout their journey.
My approach begins with getting to know you as a person. I want to understand your goals, concerns, family and life outside of the clinic. I believe the best decisions are made together through open conversation and a shared understanding of the available treatment options.
I specialize in caring for people with lymphoma. My clinical interests include:
- Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas
- Slow-growing and aggressive lymphomas
- Cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy
- New treatments offered through clinical trials
- Supportive care during treatment and recovery
I’m committed to staying at the forefront of lymphoma care so I can offer my patients the most effective and up-to-date treatment options. Whether you are newly diagnosed, seeking a second opinion or exploring advanced therapies, I am here to guide you through every step of the process.
I completed my hematology and oncology training at Oregon Health & Science University. Before that, I worked as a hospitalist at the University of Washington, where I cared for patients with blood cancers and those undergoing bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy.
My research has focused on improving the safety of CAR T-cell therapy and developing new treatment approaches for people with lymphoma and other blood cancers. In recognition of this work, I received a Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Research remains an important part of my career because it helps bring promising new treatments to patients and advances the future of cancer care.
I was born in Romania and grew up in Canada. I also completed parts of my medical training in London, England, and the Pacific Northwest. Living and training in different parts of the world has given me a deep appreciation for people from many backgrounds and life experiences, and it helps me connect with patients from diverse communities.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our 2 daughters. Whether we are exploring nature or simply spending time together, family helps me stay grounded and reminds me of the importance of caring for the whole person, not just the disease.
