Within Atrium Health, we use survey results to better understand what is important to our patients and how we can improve healthcare experiences. The overall Patient Rating score comes from the questions on our Medallia Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a scale, where 0 represents "very poor" and 10 represents "very good.” Those scores are shown as 1 to 5 stars on the provider’s profile.

- January 2, 2023 Dr. Deaton's affect is kind & even not being in person, makes a patient feel like their particular situation is valuable and important. With those who are data-inclined, his knowledge of his practice area is superb and he knows the relevant statistics for the particular situation. He is also helpful in listening to the patient and what they are thinking as far as next steps vs what his recommendation of a plan of action would be - and then discussing what the agreed plan will be.
