Within Atrium Health, we use survey results to better understand what is important to our patients and how we can improve healthcare experiences. The overall Patient Rating score comes from the questions on our Medallia Patient Experience Survey. Responses are measured on a scale, where 0 represents "very poor" and 10 represents "very good.” Those scores are shown as 1 to 5 stars on the provider’s profile.
Patient Comments
- November 16, 2023 He didn't seem friendly and telling my daughter she can do something she was struggling to do. I will not go back to him.
- November 2, 2023 Dr. Mooney had no bedside manner didn't seem at all caring. Rushed in didn't say hello introduce himself before the door was closed he said" what can I do for you". Felt rushed. Our appointment was at 2:20 and we were in the car leaving at 2:31. Worst Dr. My 9 yr. Old son gas ever seen.
- October 5, 2023 Absolutely outstanding care…thank you
- September 30, 2023 He was nice, very too the point. Seemed a little rushed, but again nice enough.
- August 3, 2023 Our experience with Dr Mooney today was so much better today than it was the 1st time. He was nice the 1st time but bedside manner was not there. Today it was and I was very appreciative bc of it! He was very informative about my sons xray and situation. Very thankful.
- July 29, 2023 Estoy agradecida por la atención que nos dio Dr. Mooney. Excelente Medico. Se tomo el tiempo de explicarnos, escucharnos y responder nuestras preguntas. Lo recomendaria mucho.
- July 22, 2023 We were so impressed with Dr. Mooney. He was very informative and helpful. We drove over an hour for the appointment and made the follow up here because we feel very confident in him.
- July 22, 2023 Excelente doctor,muy amable,sobre todo muy profesional.
- July 15, 2023 He spent time answering our questions and took our concerns seriously. He was reassuring and reviewed our X-rays in detail. We would go to him again if more concerns arose. I would recommend him to others.
- June 30, 2023 Everything was smooth sailing. Dr Mooney wasnt rude but he seem a little uninterested/lackadaisical.
- June 29, 2023 Sean, the front desk employee was nice & kind.
- June 16, 2023 Very professional and took the time to explain everything and answered questions. Love him!!
- June 16, 2023 Doctor was friendly and engaging with our child while he was doing the examination. He explained everything to us thoroughly and we were completely satisfied with the whole appointment.
- June 10, 2023 There is a deeper problem with our child and he questioned why the child was even in PT, then said bone and joints is all he does and there is nothing wrong- Ird a coordination thing after watching the video clearly seeing the child can not even stand-
- June 8, 2023 He was on time, explained medical issue in easy to understand talked through explaining why’s. Addressed our questions and concerns.
- May 11, 2023 He answered our questions and made us aware of what’s to come in the next weeks.
- May 9, 2023 Dr. Mooney entered the exam room unprepared for our appointment. It was evident he did not read the patient's chart, nor the notes from the referring physician. We were told x-rays would be taken upon scheduling the appointment, but no images were taken and we left the appointment with no information or plan to help our child.
- April 20, 2023 We were very happy with our choice of Dr. did a great job
- March 9, 2023 He is so friendly and answered all of my concerns.
- February 24, 2023 We were rushed and left feeling unheard. We have waited for so long to have our son looked at for his leg/foot. When we got into a room, including wait time, we were in there for 7 minutes. He told us there was nothing he could do to help him. Definitely will not return and will inform everyone to not be seen here.
- February 23, 2023 Dr Mooney had been phenomenal! The initial visit with him soothed so much anxiety stemming from a novant radiologist who told us our newborn would need a harness to fix her hip dysplasia. Dr Mooney was so personable and knowledgeable and spoke to us in such a reassuring manner.
- February 4, 2023 He is okay
- February 3, 2023 As a mother of four, well behaved children, the oldest of which will be 14 soon, I have never been in a room with a doctor with such a poor demeanor, who clearly doesn't care about his patients. I cannot believe that this man works with pediatric patients. He was borderline rude, didn't seem to care about the back pain my son described and treated him like a number instead of a person. If you schedule an appointment at 151 Miller St. Orthopedics, make sure it isn't with Dr. Mooney. I had a more pleasant experience at this office with a different doctor, that ended in casting a child's arm, than I did getting nothing resolved with Dr. Mooney and his impudent ways. Also, he referred us for physical therapy and we still haven't heard from them four days later.
- February 3, 2023 Absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and caring. The appointment was very fast, but he also made sure we understood and made sure there were no other questions or concerns prior to being released.
- January 19, 2023 Dr. Mooney took great care of us!
