I have been on faculty at Wake Forest School of Medicine for about 19 years. I am an attending anesthesiologist specializing in obstetrical and gynecology anesthesia. In addition, my areas of research interest are techniques for acute labor pain management, chronic & persistent pain after delivery, novel analgesic agents and algorithm and smart devices for predicting analgesic need. Before attending medical school, my training was in electrical and biomedical engineering which keeps my interest in novel technological applications in medicine. I am happily married and blessed with three wonderful children.
