Dottie Shepard is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has clinical interests in osteoporosis, fracture prevention, malignant and benign soft tissue and bone tumors.
She was honored as a Nurse of Distinction by the North Carolina Nurses Association.
Shepard received her master’s degree in nursing at Carson Newman University.
Prior to obtaining her master’s degree, Shepard began working with the osteoporosis and orthopedic oncology team as a registered nurse (RN). She enjoyed the patient population and decided she wanted to further her education in the field.
She has a daughter, and they love to attend Clemson University football games. She enjoys reading murder mysteries and visiting local wineries and breweries.
