Currently, two Critical Care Blood Gas Labs provide services for the main campus hospital. The OR Stat Lab operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ICU Blood Gas Lab runs 24/7. Our labs support our level one trauma emergency department; the medical, surgical, trauma and cardiovascular intensive care units; our comprehensive cancer center; our burn unit; and over thirty operating rooms. The primary focus for both labs is blood gas, electrolyte, Ionized Calcium and co-oximetry testing but we offer ACT, serum HCG and Intraoperative Only PTH testing as well.
