Program Design

Required rotations include immersive experiences in specific populations and value-based care contracts. Each rotation will consist of an in-depth focus on data management and analysis. The resident will choose one of two selective experiences: Advanced Medicaid or Employee Health Plan and a choice of elective rotations allow the resident to tailor the year based on their previous experiences and interests. and include but are not limited to: Rural Population Health, Behavioral Health, Special Populations (high utilizers, unengaged, health equity, etc.), or Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living Populations. A teaching certificate program is also offered if not previously completed.

Required Learning Experiences are built in 4-8 weeks blocks as well as longitudinal throughout the year.

Medicaid (virtual + clinic)   Leadership  Pharmacy Practice Experience 

Elective Learning Experiences: 4-week block experience from one of the following: 

  • Rural Population Health 
  • Behavioral Health
  • Special Populations (high utilizers, unengaged, health equity, etc.)
  • Skilled Nursing Facility/Assisted Living Facility (SNF/ALF)
  • May also repeat a core learning experience
