Making Hopes and Dreams Come True
On Monday, July 2, we moved our tiniest patients into the new, state-of-the-art, Dale and Karen Sisel Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and on Monday July 29, we officially opened The Birth Center, where we can now deliver all babies, from routine to high risk. Both of these momentous occasions have been a long time coming and mark a new day for Wake Forest Baptist Health. At The Birth Center and in the NICU, we have focused on putting families first – with one-of-a-kind “front porch” room entrances; large labor and delivery rooms with beautiful views; alternative birth suites with tubs for labor pain relief; the nation’s first milk analyzer in a NICU; lactation consultation and supplies at The Mother’s Nursing Nook retail store; an amazing care team, and so much more.
