Our counselors work with clients on strategies to overcome obstacles and personal challenges that they are facing. At MCP, we work with individuals who have received a memory diagnosis and/or their care partners and families. If you are unsure whether you or your loved one is appropriate for supportive counseling, please contact us.
The MCP does not do cognitive testing. If you are interested in testing related to aging-related memory loss, please reach out to the Geriatric Consult Clinic at 336-713-8250.
The check-in process and the Intake Visit typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours. You can expect us to collect information to help us understand you or your loved one’s cognitive diagnosis and needs. During this visit, we will review MCP’s services and set up the most appropriate ongoing services.
Prior to your first visit to MCP, we suggest signing up for myWakeHealth with a current email address. Please make sure to either send us a copy of a photo ID and your insurance card (front & back) or bring it with you to your first visit.
No. Someone from MCP will contact you with dates and times before the group begins.
Yes! Currently, we are offering all services both in-person and virtually via phone or WebEx. Please check with your insurance provider regarding copays for telemedicine counseling visits, as they may differ from in-person copays.
