Biography

I chose a career in medicine because I love solving problems and helping people feel better. Early in my training, I discovered that heart rhythm care lets me do both. I enjoy thinking through complex issues and working with hands-on procedures. Being able to use these skills to help people live fuller, healthier lives is deeply rewarding to me.

My approach to care starts with listening. I take time to understand your concerns, goals and what matters most to you. We work together to build a care plan that fits your life, not just your diagnosis.

Because no two people are the same, I tailor treatment plans to each individual. During your visit, you can expect clear explanations and thoughtful conversation. I take time to discuss what’s happening and why. I explain your options in plain language so you can feel comfortable and confident in your care decisions. My goal is for you to feel informed, supported and heard every step of the way.

I’m board certified in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease. I care for people with complex heart rhythm concerns, including adults born with heart conditions.

My clinical interests and specialized services include:

  • Leadless pacemakers, including newer technologies
  • Cardioneural ablation
  • Arrhythmia care for adults with congenital heart disease
  • Ablation for ventricular tachycardia
  • Ablation for atrial fibrillation

Teaching and research are important parts of my career. I enjoy educating cardiology and electrophysiology fellows and helping train the next generation of physicians. I have received teaching awards and have participated in large clinical trials focused on improving care for people with heart rhythm conditions.

I serve as the fellowship director for the cardiac electrophysiology training program and as associate fellowship director for the general cardiology training program. I also serve as vice chair for faculty development within the Department of Cardiology and remain active in clinical research focused on the care of patients with arrhythmias.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis and chess and staying active. I value spending time with my family, especially hiking and enjoying other outdoor adventures together. We also love to travel and explore new places, cultures and foods.

I look forward to partnering with you on your heart care journey and helping you feel your best.
