Wake Forest Baptist Health Diagnostic Laboratories has strict regulations in place regarding proficiency testing (PT). If proficiency testing material is submitted and the proficiency testing period is in progress, the samples will be returned and the CAP (our accreditation agency for CLIA certification) will be notified.
Although we will cooperate in alternate assessment programs with other laboratories as allowed by federal regulation, we will neither communicate nor share with our clients any proficiency testing survey results that are actively in progress.
We utilize extensive quality control measures to safeguard each specimen we test. Our more than 250 experienced technologists, pathologists and professional staff are highly skilled in the most advanced specimen testing protocols, and our quality control team monitors performance indicators for all laboratory services. We regularly review and update performance standards to ensure exceptional service with fast, accurate results.
