Application

Candidates should submit an application online using ASHP’s Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) and include the following information:

  • A current CV
  • Brief letter of intent
  • Pharmacy school transcripts
  • 1-2 page writing sample (essay) describing:
    • Why the applicant wants to specialize in Infectious Diseases
    • Specific ID areas of interest
    • Career goals
    • Notable accomplishments or experiences that distinguish the candidate
  • Letters of recommendation are optional but will be considered if submitted in PhORCAS

After internal review of the items submitted in PhORCAS, competitive candidates will be invited to a 30-45-minute virtual screening interview. From there, 5-10 candidates will be invited for an on-site interview. However, in effort to limit risks associated with COVID-19, virtual interviews will be offered for candidates who would need to travel by air. Those that are able to visit Wake Forest Baptist Health without the need of air travel should plan to interview on-site.
