Learning Experiences

The residency year is composed of 32 weeks of required experiences and 16 weeks of elective learning experiences. Flexibility allows residents to tailor their experiences to meet their individual career goals. Most learning experiences are 4 weeks in duration but some electives are 2 weeks. Residents are also evaluated longitudinally on some experiences, including Projects, Presentations, Antimicrobial Stewardship Management, and Professional Practice Experience. The PGY2 ID resident is given multiple presentation opportunities throughout the year, including Pharmacy Grand Rounds, which is CE-accredited, and many lectures to learners, e.g. ID physician fellows, pharmacy students, and PA students.
