Multidisciplinary Approach to Cancer Care

Focused on the treatment of gynecologic malignancies, our gynecologic oncologists work as part of a team to provide you with the best possible care in the region and beyond.

Your gynecologic oncologist serves as the captain of your cancer care team. It is important to consult with a gynecologic oncologist before treatment is started so that the best treatment regimen is chosen for you.

The Story of Cancer at Wake Forest Baptist Health

Being treated at our comprehensive cancer center means you not only have access to physicians who are leaders in advancing cancer care, but you also become part of our cancer family.

Our physicians, nurses and staff take pride in treating patients and their families with compassion and kindness, while working to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient.
This comprehensive team-based approach brings together a variety of specialists to care for each patient, regardless of what type of cancer they have. Our gynecologic oncology physicians have highly specialized training and experience in the complexities of diagnosing and treating cancers involving women’s reproductive organs. Our team works together to evaluate your condition and then develop the best treatment plan for you.

Because of this multidisciplinary approach, the Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center has been designated by the National Cancer Institute as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of only 41 in the country.

Compassionate and Patient-Focused Treatment

Most importantly, we treat every patient with warmth and compassion. We become a part of your extended family as you and your loved ones navigate your diagnosis and treatment process. Together, we work towards a successful outcome and a hopeful outlook.
