- Core internal medicine rotations that build upon one another and focus on different practice settings such as teaching services, hospitalist services, and community hospital setting
- Variety and flexibility for elective rotations
- Unique longitudinal experiences in medication strategy and transitions of care
Rotations
Required Rotations
- 5 Internal Medicine Rotations (1 month rotations)
- Teaching service/co-preceptor focus (2 consecutive months)
- Hospitalist focus
- Community hospital focus
- Teaching service/primary preceptor focus
- Transitions of Care (if not previously completed as a PGY1 pharmacy resident)
- Critical Care (if not previously completed as a PGY1 pharmacy resident)
- 1 Medicine Subspecialty Rotation
- Cardiology, neurology, or nephrology
Elective Rotations
- Emergency Medicine
- Infectious Diseases (Antimicrobial Support Team, HIV Clinic, and/or ID consults)
- Ambulatory Care
- Cardiology (CVICU or Advanced Heart Failure)
- Neurology
- Nephrology
- Hematology/Oncology
- Medical Intensive Care
- Psychiatry
- Solid Organ Transplant
Longitudinal - occur within the residency year
- Pharmacy Practice Management and Leadership
- Population Health: Transitional Inpatient Rounds Experience (TIRE)
- Pharmacy Practice Experience and Code Response
- Research
