Our flexible residency program allows residents to tailor their experiences to meet their individual career goals. The residency year is divided into 12 rotations, most of which are 4 weeks long. Residents are also evaluated longitudinally on practice management, presentations, research, and practice experience (staffing).
Additional highlights include:
- Members of the pharmacy staff participate in daily patient care rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, medication reconciliation, patient education, providing drug information, and in-service education
- Flexibility allows each resident to tailor experiences to meet his/her individual interests and career goals
- In July, the resident will spend time learning order verification and distribution system for chemotherapy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Dedicated weeks for research and projects will be provided throughout the year
- Remaining ten rotations are broken into seven required rotations and three elective rotations
- All rotations are precepted by qualified clinical specialists
