Biography

I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 and my master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Florida in 2000. I am a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists, and am a member of the North Carolina Augmentative Communication Association.

I have provided speech and language services for the pediatric population for my entire career and joined the Outpatient Pediatric team at Wake Forest Baptist Health in 2017. I am the clinical coordinator for the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Clinic. I provide AAC evaluations, recommendations for appropriate alternative or augmentative communication systems, and ongoing treatment for children who are non-verbal or whose speech is severely impaired. Other specialty areas include treating children with Autism and children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and other motor speech disorders.
