The pediatric rheumatology program at Brenner Children’s is the region’s leading center for treatment of rheumatologic conditions in children. Our experts treat a broad range of conditions including arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis. We have a multidisciplinary approach to management of rheumatologic conditions and work closely with other sub-specialists including orthopedics, physical therapy, cardiology, immunology, nephrology, ophthalmology, and pulmonology to provide excellent care for our patients.
What is a Pediatric Rheumatologist?
Pediatric rheumatologists care for rheumatologic and inflammatory disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. Inflammatory disorders can involve joints, soft tissue, blood vessels, and other tissues. Pediatric rheumatologists are experts in autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions and provide diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up for rheumatic diseases. We also evaluate patients with undiagnosed multisystemic diseases.
