NC Medicaid and NC Health Choice are Changing
The NC Medicaid program is changing on July 1, 2021. You may need to enroll in a new health plan by May 14 to keep seeing your Wake Forest Baptist Health providers. Most NC Medicaid patients* and NC Health Choice patients can sign up for a new plan now. When you sign up, choose a plan and a primary care provider. If you don’t sign up by May 14, the state will choose a health plan and select a primary care provider for you.
*Some patients will not need to choose a new health plan because of the type of health services they need. They will stay enrolled in NC Medicaid Direct, which is accepted by Wake Forest Baptist Health.
