Brenner Children’s was the state’s first Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and recently we renovated our Emergency Department— a 20,665-square-foot facility with 18 examination rooms, four large treatment rooms, two trauma rooms and a diagnostic suite.
The beds, wheelchairs and other equipment have all been designed with a child in mind so everything is smaller, more colorful and more welcoming.
The Emergency Department also has a full-time staff of doctors and nurses who are trained in both pediatrics and emergency medicine as well as more than 130 specialists in 30 areas of pediatric medicine.
