Application Requirements

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist uses ASHP’s Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) for resident application submissions.

Please submit your application through the site and include the following documents:

  • Copy of college transcript(s)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • 3 letters of recommendation

Application to the UNC Graduate School

The Master of Science Degree in Health System Pharmacy program is offered as a collaboration between:

  • Wake Forest Baptist Health
  • BayCare Health System
  • Cone Health
  • Duke Health 
  • Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania 
  • Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Mission Hospital
  • University of North Carolina Health
  • University Hospitals Cleveland
  • Novant Health
  • Vanderbilt University Medical Center

While everyone who is accepted into the program will receive their Master of Science degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (UNC), the residency component is divided across multiple medical center sites.

Interested applicants will need to apply to the UNC Graduate School for their didactic component, as well as to each site of interest. 

To apply to the UNC Graduate School, please submit your application via the UNC Graudate School Application site. In addition, you must provide:

  • A non-refundable $95 application fee
  • Academic transcripts for each school attended
  • 3 letters of recommendation 
  • Statement of purpose
  • Resume/CV
  • Community Standards Questions

Application Guidelines

  • Both components of the application (Wake Forest Baptist and UNC Graduate School) must be submitted in order to complete the application process
  • Only one graduate school application is required, even if you are applying to more than 1 program
  • We participate in “the Match,” so applicants must be registered to be considered for this residency

Application Deadline

The deadline for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program is January 1st.

Interview Process

Interviews will take place from late January through the end of February. We will begin notifying for interviews mid-January.
