How Much Should a Bladder Hold

The amount of urine a child's bladder should hold can be calculated by the following equation:

Bladder capacity by age:

Age + 2 = Bladder Capacity (in ounces)
or
(AGE + 2) 30 = Bladder  Capacity (in milliliters/cubic centimeters)

For example, a 5-year-old child's bladder should hold:

5 + 2 = 7 ounces
or
(5+2) 30 = 210 ml or cc's
