Wake Forest Baptist Health offers programs, classes, and support groups to enhance the lives of parents and children. Our Prenatal, Infant, and Child classes are designed to guide and support you through pregnancy, childbirth, and the first few moments of your growing family.

                                                                Preparing for Labor and DeliveryThis class taken in the last trimester of pregnancy and will focus on the birth of your baby and the postpartum time period. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                                Breastfeeding BasicsThis class includes orientation to successful breastfeeding, tips on dealing with the challenges of the early weeks and more. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                                Newborn CareThis class covers the specifics of newborn care and uses doll models to allow for hands-on experience. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                                Self-Paced Online ClassesWake Forest Baptist Health is happy to provide online childbirth and parenting preparation classes that you can take conveniently from home at your own pace.

                                                                Preparing for Cesarean BirthThis class is designed for families who will be having a scheduled cesarean birth. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                                Natural ChildbirthThis class is designed to supplement Preparing for Labor and Delivery and provide additional tools and coping mechanisms for those families that desire natural childbirth. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                                Preparing for MultiplesIf you’re expecting multiples this class is for you. We will discuss topics unique to twin (or more!) pregnancies, birth, and taking care of more than one newborn. Offered both virtually with a live instructor and face-to-face.

                                                            Post-Partum Support CalendarLed by a Nurse Practitioner/Midwife, new moms have the opportunity to share birth stories, ask questions about recovery, discuss breastfeeding tips, and talk through all the emotions experienced in the 4th trimester season.
